When I was a girl, the most dependable place to find me was in the corner of my grandmother’s home with her stack of Southern Living magazines. As I got older, my love of editorial only grew. For many years, I had the privilege of seeing magazines from the inside as deputy editor of a national title. I also wrote a monthly column for almost fifteen years—176 pieces total—as a spirited Texan named “Boots.” Below is a sampling of pieces I’ve written for various outlets over the last few years.
